Warren & Bethany | Fort Hunter Engagement
AJ and I met up with Warren and Bethany last weekend for their Fort Hunter engagement session under the threat of darkening skies, but determined to get in a great session, and have fun doing it. To say that October wasn’t really kind to us photographers is a bit of an understatement. The vast majority of our sessions and weddings were held under gloomy skies and threatening clouds, but I’m happy to say that we were able to deliver gorgeous photos to all of our dear clients, and Bethany and Warren were no exception!
We loved perusing the grounds of the Fort Hunter Park and Mansion in Harrisburg, PA, and Bethany and Warren were total troopers as we moved quickly through their session so that we could fit in as much as possible before the skies opened up (and opened up, they did!).
When Bethany and Warren asked us to be their wedding photographers, I asked them to fill me in a little bit on their love story. The way Warren tells it in his own words is too sweet not to share, so here it is:
[We were at a] Charity event called Prom for Peyton that was organized by one of my coworkers. It was an adult prom to benefit a six month old with cancer. The Charity Event was a perfect opportunity. We were both dressed to impress and have a fun night of dancing. Once the event was over, and we were walking out to the car, I asked if she had been swept off her feet yet. And then I read a poem I had written, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry me. I think that successfully swept her the rest of the way off her feet.
While Warren may have brought a ring pop to their engagement session for some fun photos, the ring he actually proposed to Bethany with is stunning and unique, so good job Warren!
We can’t wait to celebrate with these two in 2017! Congrats, Warren & Bethany!
