This post is a little overdue, considering that these two have been married for over two months now! It’s also a little bit close to our hearts, as Mark is Betsy’s brother. We had the pleasure of not only photographing Mark & Natalie’s rehearsal dinner, but also being in their wedding party and calling these two our brother & sister-in-law!
We also got the opportunity to style this dinner, which was really fun. Mark & Natalie asked to host their rehearsal dinner at our parent’s house, and we worked all week to make it as spectacular as they imagined. One long, kinfolk-inspired table graced the backyard with Christmas lights strung overhead. White birch, silver mercury glass, and candlelight were strewn down the table and each place setting was adorned with a menu and hand-made cork coasters.
After a day of decorating the ceremony space, the entire wedding party headed back to the Gettis house for a great evening of celebrating Mark & Natalie. It was a night that really kicked off their wedding weekend and set the tone for the next day, and it was fun to celebrate our family in this way!
Mark & Natalie decided to have everyone who was involved with their wedding (from the ushers to the college friend who did a live painting to some musicians) at their rehearsal dinner, which was hosted in our parents’ backyard. That meant that it was a big party with a ton of friends gathered around one large table. The menu was filled with all of their favorite foods and we started the night with communion and worship and ended it gathered around the fire, enjoying s’mores and sharing stories. Mark and Natalie’s rehearsal dinner truly fit them perfectly! It was such a great night celebrating Mark & Natalie!
