Collin & Amanda | The Schuylkill Center Wedding
Amanda and Collin’s wedding day arrived with the threat of rain hanging around (seriously, what is it with these October weekends!?). As I made the drive to Philadelphia, I was keeping a watchful eye on the sky and hoping for the clouds to clear. But upon my arrival, I walked into a home of girls getting ready in silk robes, the Hamilton soundtrack playing in the background (this bride is seriously a girl after my own heart!), and not a care in the world about what the weather was going to do. All Amanda cared about was that at the end of the day, she’d be saying “I do” to the man of her dreams at The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. And that’s exactly what she did!
I had asked Amanda and Collin to share with me a little bit about their love story, and I love their engagement story!
We got engaged in March of 2016. Collin planned to propose in Virginia over Easter with her family. Amanda’s cousin, Shelby, had asked Amanda to be in a Spring makeup tutorial for her YouTube channel. It was requested that her nails be painted a shade of nude and to bring dresses for Shelby’s Spring photo shoot. Once they arrived in Virginia, Amanda was whisked away to get her hair and makeup up done. Collin informed Amanda that he had a paper due, and need to go to a coffee shop to finish up before dinner. Collin met with our photographer and family friend, Nick to help set up the proposal. Amanda’s cousins, Addison and Shelby took Amanda to the historic Pole Green Church to take photos for Shelby’s website. When they arrived, Collin was waiting with the ring of her dreams.
You can even watch their proposal video here!
I also asked Amanda and Collin to tell me a little bit about what they were looking forward to at and after their wedding, and here’s what they said:
Collin:
On what he loves about his new wife: Amanda puts me first. Amanda takes care of me when I am stressed out or not feeling well. She is thoughtful and makes sure to tell me she loves me. I love that Amanda is very supportive. Amanda is easy going and flexible. I enjoy listening to Amanda sing Broadway musicals around the house and car.
On what he was looking forward to about his wedding day: Dip kissing Amanda at the altar.
On what he was looking forward to about married life: Calling Amanda my wife and starting a family!
Amanda:
On what she loves about her new husband: Collin is thoughtful and kind. He is always leaving notes and treats to show how much he cares about me. Collin will take time out of his day to slow dance with me in the kitchen. He makes sure to tell me he loves me whenever he gets the chance and will put his work aside to listen to my day. He is determined and has a drive to succeed. Collin and I are able to be playful and we laugh everyday.
On what she was looking forward to about her wedding day: Being able to join our families together.
On what she was looking forward to about married life: Travel and babies!
Ok, these two are seriously the sweetest! Enjoy these photos from their wedding day!
