The Fick Family | Conrad Weiser Homestead Family Session

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to do a family session, and this one was nothing short of special!  David is AJ’s cousin and this is now our third session for some of our favorite Ficks.  The first was Molly & David’s maternity shoot back in September and then we did Harrison’s newborn shoot in November.  Molly and David had us over for fondue a few weeks ago and mentioned that they wanted to do a family session to celebrate some of Harrison’s milestones.

I caught up with David and Molly out at one of my new favorite locations, the Conrad Weiser Homestead, on a Friday evening.  I’ve fallen in love with the Homestead this spring for it’s varied scenery and great structures…it is a great place to plan any shoot!  When I got there, Harrison had just woken up from a nap, which was perfect.  I had discovered the week earlier that I just had to make a crazy happy face at him and he would break out into the cutest baby giggle, so we got off to a great start!  We planned to do some family photos, then some dad & baby, mom & baby, and solo baby shots.

Harrison’s nursery is decorated with elephants, so Molly had brought along a stuffed animal and had a great idea to do some photos with Harrison and his elephant at the very end.  She also wanted to incorporate some of her Golden Books because they’ve been a theme in all of their baby celebrations, from her shower to her maternity, newborn, and family photos.  Apparently we timed everything perfectly because just as we were starting to wrap things up, baby got sleepy!

It’s always fun hanging out with this sweet little family, and they are always great subjects to photograph!  I hope we get to document many more of Harrison’s milestones over the years!
